New Adult Learning Center

Building Description and Use:

Built:  1973

This facility consists of one level. No basement. 7,414 square feet.

The structural system consists of reinforced concrete footings and foundation walls supporting the pre-engineered steel frame structure.

The floor structure is reinforced concrete slab on grade. Floor covering consists of vinyl asbestos tile, carpet, ceramic tile, and paint.

Partitions are standard for the design and occupancy for which the building was intended. They consist of stud and wood panel, stud and gypsum board, and masonry block.

Ceilings consist of suspended system and gypsum board and paint.

The exterior walls are basically pre finished metal panel with select areas of brick veneer.

The roof structure is pre-engineered with pre finished metal panel cover. Entire exterior of the building received a waterproof coating in 2002.

Adequate plumbing for facility. Self contained heating and cooling system.

Adequate electric for facility.

Condition: Good. Needs new carpet, and exterior painting. Facility opened as an Adult Learning Center in Fall, 1990. Building use was converted from an athletic dorm into an Adult Learning Center. Parking lot was paved in 1998.

Occupancy: Adult Learning Center Classrooms and Administrative Offices.

Estimated Replacement Cost: $740,000.00
