Facilities Master PlanDiana Gray Education CenterBuilding Description and Use: Building energy Use Characteristics: Insufficient data available on gas usage to make a reliable calculation. Structural Characteristics: The structural system consists of reinforced concrete piles drilled to 19 feet supporting the structural steel superstructure. The floor structure at ground level is reinforced concrete slab on grade. Partitions are standard for the design and occupancy for which the building was intended. They consist of metal stud and gypsum board. Wall covering is basically paint with select areas of vinyl covering and exposed structure. Ceilings consist of suspended acoustical tile. The exterior walls consist of brick. The roof structure is poured concrete over a corrugated metal pan. Roof cover is a three ply, modified bitumen built-up system installed in October of 1991. Roof is insulated below roofing plies to an R-9 rating. Plumbing is in good shape. HVAC consists of circulating chilled water supplied from a dedicated chiller located on the south side of the building. Building is heated via central heating system. Air handling equipment is located in this building. Electrical is adequate for facility. Condition: Excellent. Facility was repainted inside and re-carpeted in 2003. Occupancy: Childcare Center operated under lease agreement with the College. Estimated Replacement Cost: $1,000,000.00 |
