North Central Plant

Building Description and Use:

Built:  2002

This facility consists of one level.  No basement.  5,345 square feet.

The structural system consists of reinforced concrete piers, concrete grade beams, and steel frame.

The floor structure is a reinforced concrete floor slab on grade.

There is a small office.  Most of the space is taken up by two York Chillers and associated controls and pumps and piping.  There is also a boiler inside and a small restroom.

No ceilings. 

The roof structure is lightweight concrete on top of a metal pan.  Roofing system is built up, coal tar pitch.

Walls are concrete masonry blocks with brick. 

Adequate plumbing.  Uses space heaters.

Adequate electric.

Roof is a multi ply coal tar system.

Condition: Excellent

Occupancy: Houses chillers and boiler that cools and heats roughly 50% of the Baytown campus.
