Nick Wade is a Baytown native who grew up going to Lee College basketball camps.
Wade graduated from St. Thomas Prep School, where he received 8 varsity letters in basketball, track, and football, and chose to attend Sam Houston State University and assist with the basketball program there.
With a hunger to still play he signed to play collegiate basketball at Austin College. Considered a three-point specialist, he helped his team in this category every year.
His senior year he led the team in three-pointers made and percentage, as well as the most wins in school history, with a 20-6 mark.
Wade graduated from Austin college with a degree in psychology and a minor in political science, and he aspires to be a head college basketball coach. Wade is currently obtaining his master’s degree from Lamar University in Beaumont.
