Jasmine Marta, a 5’10” heavily recruited outside hitter from Alberta, Canada, decided to head south as she signed with the Lee College Lady Rebels. A 2009 graduate of Grande Centre High School, Jasmine is expected to be a key contributor as Lee College addresses its competition. In high school, Jasmine captained her team and was named as its MVP in her junior and senior seasons. She was also
recognized by the organization Volleyball Prospects Canada as she was chosen by them as one of Canada’s “Top 25 Volleyball Athletes” in her class in 2009. Moreover, she was chosen to be a part of Team Alberta in both ’07 and ’09. A gifted athlete with nearly a 30” vertical jump, Jasmine was named the Track & Field MVP at Grande Centre and she placed 3rd in the high jump at the Provincial High School Championships in both ‘07 and ‘09. Jasmine competed with the Cold Lake Volleyball
Club. During high school, Jasmine also performed very well in the classroom. asmine enjoys badminton, track and field and hanging out with friends.
