Lee College will host new group advising sessions March 3-7 for current students seeking guidance about registering for math, engineering and science (MES) classes in the summer and fall 2014 terms.
The sessions are designed to be a one-stop shop for students, giving them the opportunity to meet with an academic adviser, financial aid representative and faculty member at the same time and place. As an added incentive, those who participate in group advising will be able to sign up for classes before registration officially opens April 1.
Students can come and go from the sessions as needed. Sessions are scheduled as follows:
• Biology, Environmental Science and Geology
2-3 p.m., Monday, March 3 in ATC-320
Featuring geology instructor Sharon Gabel, Ph.D., and biology and environmental science instructor Tia Hall
2-3 p.m., Tuesday, March 4 in ATC-319
Featuring mathematics instructor Susan Hamby
• Chemistry and Natural Sciences
2-3 p.m., Wednesday, March 5 in ATC-320
Featuring biology and environmental science instructor Tia Hall and chemistry instructor Harry Pang, Ph.D.
• Physics and Pre-Engineering
2:30-3:30 p.m., Thursday, March 6 in ATC-319
Featuring physics instructor Tom O’Kuma and physics and pre-engineering instructor Evan Richards, Ph.D.
• Pre-Bachelor of Science in Nursing
10:30-11:30 a.m., Friday, March 7 in ATC-314
Featuring nursing program director Tracy Allen
