More than 45 local employers from dozens of industries will meet and greet job candidates at Lee College at the annual “Key to my Career” job fair, hosted by the Student Career and Employment Office. It will be open to the public.
The fair will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Thursday, March 27, in the Sports Arena. Hiring representatives will be on hand to discuss available part-time and full-time internship and career opportunities in general labor; administrative and financial careers; health care; sales; recruiting; security; civil service; warehousing; logistics; process technology; instrumentation; welding; pipefitting and more.
Those who attend the job fair should dress professionally and bring their resumes. There will be speed networking sessions from 11 a.m.-noon for job candidates to get constructive feedback about their skills and presentation, said Lena Yepez of the college Student Career and Employment Office.
“This is a great opportunity for jobseekers to get in front of hiring managers and recruiters, learn more about specific employers and increase their chances of landing an interview,” said Yepez, noting that last year’s fair drew hundreds to campus. “They will also receive sound advice about the job search and be able to develop a network of contacts.”
Houston radio station Hot 95.7 FM will broadcast live from the job fair and door prizes will be awarded. For more information, contact the Student Career and Employment Office at 281.425.6572 or visit www.lee.edu/hirearebel.
