The Lee College Center for Workforce and Community Development will give residents of a Liberty County a sneak peek at a wide array of new professional development courses Wednesday, Aug. 20, as part of a free session at the Liberty County Community Center.
The session will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at the community center, which is located at 318 San Jacinto. Attendees will be able to get a glimpse at some of the dozens of professional development workshops the workforce center offers and register for workshops on the spot. They will also have the chance to meet instructors, network with other professionals and learn more about opportunities for career advancement and personal enrichment. Lunch will be served.
Decision-makers, front-line employees, managers, supervisors, educators, business owners and those who work in customer service can all benefit from participating in the college’s professional development workshops. The courses help participants gain insight about how to improve career skills and enhance the workplace environment. Topics range from professionalism, time management and organizational skills, to making an effective resume and developing confidence for a job interview.
