The Cosmetology Program provides students with an opportunity to learn the basic manipulative and theoretical skills necessary to become licensed as a Cosmetologist, or Instructor of Cosmetology. In the field of cosmetology, students can learn a marketable skill in a short period of time.

After licensing by the state, cosmetology students can pursue jobs as a hair stylist, nail technician, skin care specialist, or may also choose to work as a sales representative, or a product educator for major supply companies.

After licensing by the state of Texas, a Cosmetologist with an Instructor’s license can apply Instructor’s courses toward an Associate of Applied Science in Cosmetology Instructor, and teach in the secondary or post-secondary environment.
