Prerequisite(s): Note: A High School diploma or GED and a valid Texas Cosmetology License is required for admission to this class. Pre/Corequisite: CSME 1435 and READ 300, ESOL 310, or equivalent

Course Rationale:

An introduction to the preparation delivery of lesson plans for secondary and post secondary cosmetology students.

Learning Objectives:

Classroom/clinic management; design teaching methodologies and implement lesson plans.

Specific Tasks Accomplished:

  1. Student will perform instruction on an individual basis in the cosmetology clinic
  2. Students will explore various components in curriculum and course development and satisfactory complete assignments and evaluation of the material.
  3. Students will present lesson plan in a classroom setting.
