Course Rationale:
Learn skills and knowledge necessary to perform chemical reformation
services in the salon industry.
Learning Objectives:
Identify terminology related to chemical reformation; demonstrate the proper
application and exhibit workplace competencies related to chemical reformation.
Specific Tasks Accomplished:
- Determine proper rod selection, sectioning and wrapping procedures per
client consultation
- Follow all safety precautions related to chemical reformation
- Understand basic chemical reactions as it relates to the reformation of
hair
- Exhibit desired techniques and manipulations related to thermal styling
- Demonstrate knowledge of the properties of the hair and scalp
