Catalog Description: Advanced concepts of instruction in a cosmetology program. Topics include demonstration, development, and implementation of advanced evaluation and assessment techniques.

Prerequisite(s):
Note: A High School diploma or GED and a valid Texas Cosmetology
License is required for admission to this class.

Course Rationale:
Under instructor supervision, student instructors will practice instructional skill and use evaluation tools to measures student outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
Practice instructional skills; develop assessment and evaluation techniques that promote student learning; and implement evaluation tools to measure student outcomes.
Specific Tasks Accomplished:
- To a classroom of freshman cosmetology students, the student instructor will demonstrate, work one on one in a classroom setting to perfect skills and use evaluation tools to measure student’s outcome.
