Course Title: The Principles of Hair Coloring and Related Theory
Course Rationale:
This course gives the student a basic understanding of color theory and
product knowledge, while the student practices the many ways hair color can be
applied, from single application tints, double application lightening, to multi
coloring and lightening with foils, caps or other procedures.
Learning Objectives:
Identify terminology, demonstrate the proper application, and exhibit
workplace competencies related to hair color.
Specific Tasks Accomplished:
- Practice work skills and communication skills with patrons and fellow
students.
- Complete a project demonstrating the correct selection of hair color and
lightening products for predetermined results.
- Perform a series of client analysis, consultations, selections and
application of hair color.
