Course Title: Introduction to Haircutting and Related Theory
Course Rationale:
Introduce the student to the correct terminology, haircutting and styling
skills, necessary to complete solid, graduated, increase-layered and uniformly
layered haircuts.
Learning Objectives:
Identify terminology and exhibit basic workplace competencies related to
haircutting and finishing techniques. Demonstrate use of implements and various
sectioning, haircutting, and finishing skills.
Specific Tasks Accomplished:
- Perform the four basic hair sculpture (haircutting) forms of haircutting
including variations of each.
- Perform styling procedures appropriate for each haircut performed,
including air forming and diffusing, blow drying, and curling iron
procedures
