Course Title: Contracts
Course Rationale:
Many legal matters involve aspects of contract law. An understanding of
contract law principles is important in contract drafting, legal research, and
litigation.
Learning Objectives:
Define and properly use terminology relating to contract law; locate,
describe and analyze sources of law relating to contract law; describe the role
and ethical obligations of the paralegal relating to contract law; and draft
documents commonly used in contract law. Understand legal terminology and concepts relating to the law of contracts.
Specific Tasks Accomplished:
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to accomplish the
following tasks:
- Define and properly use terminology relating to contract law.
- Locate, describe, and analyze sources of law relating to contract law.
- Describe the role and ethical obligations of the paralegal in contract
law.
- Draft documents commonly used in contract law.
