Course Title: Law Office Management
Course Rationale:
Paralegals must be familiar with management practices and issues in the law
office. Some paralegals move into management positions and may become manager of
paralegals or the entire office.
Learning Objectives:
Identify and explain the fundamental principles of management and
administrative and substantive systems of the law office; explain the role of
technology in the management and administration of the law office; apply
management principles and technology; and explain ethical issues relating to law
office operations.
Specific Tasks Accomplished:
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to accomplish the
following tasks:
- Identify and explain the fundamental principles of management and
administrative and substantive systems of the law office.
- Explain the role of technology in the management and administration of
the law office.
- Apply management principles and technology.
- Explain ethical issues relating to law office operations.
