All professional pilots must first acquire a Private Pilot certificate, or the equivalent, and an Instrument Rating before they can qualify for a Commercial Pilot certificate. Pilots cannot receive compensations or hire for the operation of an aircraft without holding a valid Commercial Pilot certificate. Upon completion of Lee College’s Career Pilot program, the student will be qualified to pursue a multi-engine rating and an Airline Transport Pilot certificate.

Numerous job opportunities are available, including but not limited to, crop dusting, photography, flight instruction, TV and radio traffic watch, law enforcement surveillance, weather reconnaissance, search and rescue and the airlines.
