Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to accomplish the following tasks:

  1. Outline the development of early federal legislation that changed the aviation industry
  2. Describe situational awareness of possible aviation hazards
  3. Identify and explain the United States airspace system and procedures
  4. Discuss and demonstrate how data is collected and assessed by the Federal Aviation Administration
  5. Summarize safety inspection programs and concerns
