Specific Tasks Accomplished:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to accomplish the following tasks:

  1. Explain Federal Aviation Administration regulations for Instrument Flight
  2. Read and interpret approach charts, en route charts, departure procedures (PDs) and standard terminal arrival routes (STARs)
  3. Explain navigation with reference to radio systems
  4. Describe the aircraft flight instruments operation
  5. Explain the air traffic control (ATC) procedures and flight physiology related to instrument flight
