This course is a continuation of principles presented in the Aviation Meteorology course.

Learning Objectives:

 

Specific Tasks Accomplished:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to accomplish the following tasks:

  1. Identify conditions favorable for the formation of adverse weather;
  2. Analyze techniques to minimize weather hazards as they affect flight operations;
  3. Gather weather information from appropriate sources; and
  4. Explain the theory of weather radar and procedures for using radar for weather avoidance.
