This course is a continuation of principles presented in the Aviation
Meteorology course.
Learning Objectives:
Specific Tasks Accomplished:
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to accomplish the
following tasks:
- Identify conditions favorable for the formation of adverse weather;
- Analyze techniques to minimize weather hazards as they affect flight
operations;
- Gather weather information from appropriate sources; and
- Explain the theory of weather radar and procedures for using radar for
weather avoidance.
