Parking
To park on the main campus, you must have a parking permit. Community Education students may park in parking spaces that are NOT reserved parking. (Such markings appear on the curb of the parking space.) Instructors will have permits available at the first class meeting or you may pick one up in the Community Education Office. Place the parking permit on the dash of your car so it can be seen through the windshield.
Class Cancellations
A class is cancelled whenever there is insufficient enrollment three business days prior to the first class meeting. When a course is cancelled every effort will be made to notify all registered students promptly. Occasionally, we aren’t able to reach students before the first class meeting. Notice of a cancelled class will be posted on the classroom door. Processing of refunds takes approximately two to three weeks.
Emergency Closings
In the event of severe weather conditions or emergencies, it may be necessary to cancel or reschedule particular course sessions. Announcements of emergency cancellations and school closings will be made on all local TV and radio stations. When this occurs, the Community Education Office makes every effort to notify students by phone before they come to class. Community Education classes will not meet if the College is officially closed for bad weather or other emergency.
