Online courses are often the answer for students who are very busy, have difficulty driving to the college, or who live far away. With a different format from the traditional learning environment, students should consider a number of factors to determine their chances for success.

As technology continues to weave itself into our professional and personal lives, it is more important than ever to be familiar and comfortable using technology. Many college courses — even those that are considered face-to-face — have course requirements that involve accessing a virtual learning environment such as Blackboard, or other online resources. These courses are typically referred to as Web-enhanced.
