Testing for Certificate Programs

Students pursuing certificates of completion must establish their skill levels in reading. In addition, some certificate programs require certain writing and mathematics skill levels. Students who pursue two certificates simultaneously must meet the testing requirements of both programs. They may do so by taking the Accuplacer test offered by Lee College. Students who are THEA exempt as a result of high TAAS/TAKS, SAT, or ACT probably will not need additional placement testing to enter a certificate program.
