What is the Lee College Educational Opportunity Center (LCEOC)?

Our mission is to provide free advising and information on college admissions to qualified adults residing in eastern Harris, Chambers, and Liberty counties who want to enter or continue a program of postsecondary education. We help adults who wish to attend any of the colleges or universities in this area. We also assist adults who want to pass the GED test.
LCEOC free GED services include:

  • Referrals to GED programs
  • Computer-assisted and instructor-based tutorials
  • Test preparation assistance, including GED tutorial videos and DVDs, online practice tests, test preparation workshops

LCEOC free college services include:

  • Assistance for first time or returning college students
  • Career exploration and academic advising
  • Assistance with college admission and financial aid applications, including advising on loan defaults and loan rehabilitation
  • Assistance with college placement tests
  • Assistance with course selection for degree or certificate programs for any of the area colleges
  • Referrals include state disability programs, academic counseling, free childcare, tutoring for college classes and placement testing, employment-related assistance
