Types of Aid

Pell Grant

Pell Grant is the building block of all financial aid. Congress sets Pell Grant award amounts each year. For 2007-2008 the maximum Pell Grant will be 4310 for the academic year. The amount of Pell Grant you may receive is determined by the EFC that is calculated by the Department of Education, the Financial Aid Budget or Cost of Attendance and your enrollment status (Full, Half or ¾ time).

12+ hours= Full Time = Full award
9-11 hours  = 3/4 Time = 3/4 Award
6-8 hours = 1/2 Time = 1/2 Award
<6 hours = < 1/2 Time = Contact FA Office

None

Students in Continuing Education, Dual Enrollment and certain non-citizens may not be eligible for federal aid.
