A Note from the Former-LEE President

Lee College means different things to different people.  To some it’s just a place for higher education, to others it provides a window for opportunity, to another it’s a starting point and to yet another it is a place for a second chance.  To me, it is all of those things and more.  That’s why it gives me great pleasure to serve as the President of the Lee College Former Students Association, Former-LEE.

Former-LEE had its inaugural meeting in January of 2007.  Since then we have made many great strides to build what we expect to be an organization that will grow in membership and be a part of the Lee College family for many years to come.

In the first year we have been very active.  We sold 2007 Former Students calendars, distributed the Former-LEE newsletter, hosted a MySpace page, participated in the May graduation ceremonies, hosted VIP night at the Astros game as well as the Lee College theatre production, Runnin’ Rebels basketball game and the faculty holiday reception.  We also held a membership mixer at Dave & Buster’s.  All of these events were planned with you mind.

If you haven’t joined Former-LEE, join now.  Think of your membership as a wise investment with a great return and just like all other good things, share it with a friend and encourage them to experience it first hand.

Remember the role Lee College played in your life and how it contributed to where you are now, then join me in supporting the mission of the organization.  An organization is only as strong as the combined strength of its members.

Lee College made a difference for us; let’s make a difference for someone else.

Humbly Submitted,

Gina Rivon
Former-LEE President
