EEO Policy & Statement Overview The Baytown campus consists of 32 buildings with 81 classrooms and 43 laboratories and is complimented by lighted tennis courts; a gymnasium with racquetball courts and a heated swimming pool; as well as a recently renovated library with more than 100,000 volumes. In addition to traditional academic and technical/applied sciences course offerings, Lee College provides a comprehensive community education program with more that 200 classes each semester through the Adult Basic Education program, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Business and Industrial Development program, the Leisure Learning program and Senior Adult program. Lee College also operates at several off-campus sites-Lee College at San Jacinto Mall, a regional shopping center; and Lee College at regional high schools - Liberty, Crosby, Hardin, Huffman, and Anahuac. In addition, the Huntsville Center/Lee College (HC/LC) at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), located about 100 miles northwest of Baytown, has been in operation for 28 years. This prison-based program is the largest program of its kind in the United States and enrolls approximately 1,400 students per semester. Perspective: A comprehensive Wellness Program has been established for employees, which includes a professionally staffed, fully equipped fitness center. Day care is available adjacent to he College campus and provides flexible, extended hours for employees and students. Employment: Position assignments of all Lee College District employees are subject to the regulations and procedures as set forth in Board Policy. Prior to the first day of employment for faculty and administrative employees, an official transcript of all college work completed must be on file with the Lee College Personnel Office. All technical/applied sciences applicants must provide verifications of employment as well as any licenses and/or certificates required for the position. These will be kept in the Lee College Personnel Office. All information on the application may be verified and references checked.
