Phishing Scams NEVER take SPRING BREAK! March 14, 2017

However, they are looking for someone to take the bait! Today, emails (see below) were delivered requesting info from ITS System Administrator (not Lee College I.T.).

“Subject: Alert!!!” (to get your attention that this is important)

“Your E-mail Account could not be automatically upgraded to the new Web-mail 8.7.”

(Several Lee College users received this email today. This message is not from Lee College. Do not respond, do not click on any link, and immediately delete it. If you have already clicked on the link and entered any personal information — including your Lee College password—immediately change your password AND notify helpdesk@lee.edu. The myLC Campus Help Desk Coordinator will check your account for any malicious activity that may already have been carried out by the sender of the phishing message. If you have any concern that your email account may be compromised — alert the Help Desk).

Note that Lee College Information Technology will NEVER ask for your username and password or personal information in an email.

By the way, HAPPY Pi DAY! March 14, 2017.
