PeopleSoftPeopleSoft Financials 8.4 SP1 The PeopleSoft Financials Upgrade is finally completed after several months and many late nights of hard work. The project began with a kick-off meeting with the Upgrade Lab on September 8, 2003 and completed on January 28, 2004. The PeopleSoft Upgrade Lab assisted in the implementation along with Financial Services Division, Dean Steve Evans , Senior Accountant, Keith Scheffler , Purchasing Officer, Michael Sparkes and from the Office of Information Technology (OIT), PeopleSoft DBA Rene Salinas , Assistant DBA Moises Hernandez and PeopleSoft Project Manager, Dr. Carolyn Lightfoot worked with the Upgrade Lab in the data conversion for Financials 7.5 to 8.4. The financial modules in production are Asset Management, Budgets, General Ledger, Accounts Payables and Purchasing. The new system is running on a UNISYS ES7000/520 with 32 Processors and 32Gb Ram. The system is partitioned into multiple OS instances of four nodes, each running Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition and Microsoft Cluster Service alone with Microsoft SQL and SQL Clusters. Each Node consists of 8 processors and 8 GB of Ram. Two partitions are connected to a SAN (storage area network) CX400 disk sub-system using Fibre Channel technology. OIT Network Administrator, Thomas Sandoval worked with the UNISYS Integration Team to configure the system into the LEEnet network infrastructure. OIT Web Coordinator, Troy Oehler assisted in the configuration of the web servers.
