Telephone FeaturesFixed Feature ButtonsUse this to disconnect the current call and seize dial tone for next call to be placed. (ALSO USED AS A QUIET DISCONNECT BEFORE HANGING UP FROM OVERHEAD PAGING) This button is used to establish a 3-way conference call. To do this:
To transfer a call to another extension:
You can hang up (Blind transfer) OR remain on the line to announce the call. If no answer or you wish to retrieve the call, PRESS FLASH If voice mail picks up, PRESS FLASH twice to drop that destination & reconnect with caller PRESS HOLD button to place a call on hold, causing the line to blink. Retrieve the call by pressing the blinking button & begin speaking. The call is held at your phone and can only be retrieved from your phone or another phone displaying your line appearance. AUTO HOLD FEATURE: When 2nd line is ringing, press the flashing button to connect to if and automatically place 1st calf on hold. This affords you the flexibility to retrieve calls from another extension. The call is held in the system, freeing your line to make or receive other calls.
RETRIEVE THE PARKED CALL: LISTEN FOR DIALTONE & PRESS PARK button FOLLOWED BY THE SAME 4 DIGIT NUMBER. (Call rings back if not retrieved in pre-set time period.) This button allows you to camp on to a busy trunk or extension. (If you hear a fast busy- there are no lines free to place your call.)
When a line becomes available, the system will ring your extension up to 3 times to connect the call. CANCEL CAMP ON BY PRESSING CAMP ON BUTTON This button turns off the microphone when using the speaker phone. Reception is allowed, but transmission of voice over microphone is denied.(Mute) Allows you to place and receive calls without lifting the handset. NOTE: Not all speaker phones come with a microphone transmitter. The speaker offers hands-free dialing and monitoring, then use handset when party answers. |
