Beyond borders describes how rapidly technology expectations are expanding the borders of how students learn, discover and communicate using multiple mobile devices with high technology expectations.  Lee College Technology Division maintains a state-of -the-art campus network that includes campus-wide wireless coverage as well as a resilient infrastructure to make it all happen.  We have an extensive array of computers available for general use as well as specially tailored discipline-specific labs (math, reading/writing, science, technology and engineering) and in the Library with the latest software tools to support the mission of teaching and learning.  Our staff have deployed computing and presentation “smart technology” across campus and distributed Internet connectivity throughout the campus.  We offer comprehensive learning management systems via Blackboard/WebCT for students and faculty.  Our faculty are developing innovative new ways to teach with technology and sharing their experiences.

Working with faculty, students, administration and our great community, the CIO encourages technical innovation and the development of a robust, scalable and dependable state-of-the art cost effective technology infrastructure.  We are continuously introducing major initiatives and system upgrades to bring you the latest, secure, dependable and innovative information technology infrastructure.  Our multimodal emergency response system provide rapid communication in the event of an emergency via text messaging, email, voice, access control and surveillance, sirens deployed throughout the campus and directly connected to Security parking lot phones.  The Technology Division serves as a trusted source about instructional technology needs and advocates for known and anticipated instructional technology requirements.  Lee College Technology Division has been nationally recognized as an innovator in the application of technology in higher education in the classroom and beyond. Technology enriches and complements Lee College’s teaching, learning and administrative endeavors.  We are committed to implementing and supporting technologies and services important to our educational mission.
