The Kinesiology Division has prioritized
the function for new and renovated facilities for our division based
on the mission and goals of Lee College. The Kinesiology Division also
has considered other information such as the college Institutional Effectiveness
Report, Southern Association Accreditation needs, Region XIV athletic conference
requirements and Title IX of the Federal Government. The goals for the
Kinesiology Division will be implemented in phases as new facilities
become available and renovated facilities are completed.
In following the mission of Lee College, our goals are as follows:
- We will expand our offering of credit courses to meet the needs of
Lee College students. Kinesiology courses are included in our transferable
program and additional teaching space is necessary to meet the needs
of students.
- We will expand the hours of operation for the Wellness Center to include
more students enrolling in evening classes.
- We will continue to partner with Continuing Education to offer non-credit
classes, Kids at College Programs and sport camps.
- We will support our athletic teams by hosting conference competition
and tournaments.
- We will support campus needs such as graduation ceremonies, student
orientations, Honors Day, Start Trek retention programs, history fairs,
science fairs, and other requests.
- We will encourage intramural play for our Lee College students.
- We will encourage recreational activities for our Lee College employees.
- We will host UIL play off games for various sports.
- We will consider outside use of our facilities after all college needs
have been met.
