Course Reserves
Faculty may place items on reserve in the library for their classes
to use.
- Items
that can be placed on reserve
- Reserve Requests: You can request that items
be placed on reserve in person, at the library Circulation desk, or
electronically, through the Reserve
Placement Request Form
- Loan
Periods: reserve items have shorter loans
periods and heavier overdue fees than most library materials. Faculty
members help us determine loan periods for individual reserve items. The
options are:
- Books: 7 day, 3 day, 1 day, In-house use only (3
hours)
- VHS/CD/DVD: 7 day, 3 day, 1 day, In-house use only (3 hours)
- Files/photocopies: In-house
use only (3 hours)
- Copyright Considerations: Course reserves
are managed in accordance with the Fair
Use Guidelines, Section 107 of U.S. Copyright Law Most
photocopied articles should not be left on reserve for more than one
semester. If you would like to use materials for multiple semesters,
you may need to obtain permission from the copyright holder.
