Custodial Services

The primary goal for Custodial Services is to support Lee College in its mission of providing quality education.   Clean rooms, offices, corridors and restrooms constitute a strong and positive contribution to the educational process.   Effective cleaning practices preserve equipment, protect health, promote safety and improve morale among students, faculty and staff.   Custodial services are provided to all Lee College facilities.

Daily Schedule: Most of the custodians work a night shift.   Because some buildings have special needs, some custodians work an afternoon/evening shift or a morning/afternoon shift.

• Night-shift schedule: 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday.
• Afternoon/evening-shift schedule: 1:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday.
• Morning/afternoon-shift schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00-noon Friday.

The daily routine includes cleaning classrooms, offices, restroom facilities and corridors according to established cleaning programs for each type of area.   The frequency of cleaning is based upon the degree of traffic, soil and the degree of sanitation needed.
