Trades
Carpenters: Construct, repair, alter and maintain
structural facilities and related equipment such as floors, walls, ceilings,
windows, cabinets, shelves, and doors, etc. Serves also as a locksmith.
HVAC:
Perform preventative and routine
maintenance on the HVAC systems for the campus. Install
and repair HVAC systems and components.
Electricians:
Perform preventive and emergency
maintenance of electrical equipment, motors, and lighting in compliance
with current codes. Install and repair electrical circuits and
fixtures.
Plumber:
Performs preventative and corrective
maintenance of campus plumbing systems and fixtures. Install,
repair, and maintain water, gas, air, and sewer pipes and fixtures. Also
assists in the maintenance of HVAC systems.
Mechanic:
Performs preventative and routine
maintenance on campus vehicles and grounds equipment. Prepares
fleet vehicles for customer use.
Roofer:
Performs preventative and routine maintenance
on building roofs and exterior walls. Performs emergency repairs
to prevent roof leaks.
Painter:
Performs various painting and staining
duties.
Maintenance Helpers:
Perform setups and takedowns
for special events. Perform miscellaneous deliveries/pickups for
personnel on campus.
Grounds Maintenance:
Perform routine
grounds work for the Lee College campus.
Custodians:
Provide custodial services on a
scheduled basis to administrative and academic buildings. The
custodial staff is largely responsible for the health and safety of those
individuals who occupy public buildings by providing clean, healthful,
safe and attractive physical surroundings in which people may work and
attend school. Chalk and erasers are supplied to the classrooms
in conjunction with the cleaning routine. Windows, carpets and
floors are cleaned periodically. Work orders may be placed by
e-mail or calling the Physical Plant Department.
