Membership

When the Planning Committee was established in January 1993, its membership included eight members appointed by the President and three members elected by the Faculty Assembly, Staff Advisory Committee, and Student Government Association respectively. Since that time, two additional faculty positions and representatives of the support staff and Administrator's Assembly were added, thereby brining its official membership to fifteen.

The Dean of Strategic & Economic Development is a permanent member of the committee and serves as its chair. The members of the committee who represent the Faculty Assembly, Staff Assembly, Administrators’ Assembly, and Student Government Association are elected by their respective constituencies and serve indefinite terms.

The remaining places on the committee are reserved for representatives from specific areas of the college. (See the table below.) The persons who fill these positions are nominated by their peers and appointed by the president to two-year terms. sIn the event that a member appointed by the president is unable to complete his/her term, the president appoints a person with the same college affiliation to serve the remainder of the term.
