Objective: To identify and outline the general guidelines, documents and procedures of the Lee College District Purchasing Department. The Lee College District Purchasing Department is responsible for facilitating the acquisition of goods and services in an effective manner, while maintaining compliance with Lee College District Board Policies, and within the guidelines set forth in the State of Texas Education Code.

Procedure: A strong purchasing system begins with sound policies implemented through systematic procedures. Internal controls, careful planning, and cost-efficient practices such as bulk purchasing and price/bid solicitation provide the framework for the efficient procurement of goods and services.
