Accreditation Process

Lee College last participated in this accreditation process in 1995. With the adoption of the Principles of Accreditation by the Commission on Colleges in 2001, significant changes have taken place in the process. The primary focus is that of institutional effectiveness and creating an environment that promotes student learning.     

The new reaffirmation process requires Lee College to complete an internal review leading to the development of two significant documents for review by SACS--the Compliance Certification and the Quality Enhancement Plan.   After the kickoff orientation meeting in Atlanta (January, 2004), we have begun the process which will continue until the Commission takes action on our reaffirmation application in the spring of 2006.
