This course is a study of major developed and developing regions with emphasis on the awareness of prevailing world conditions and developments, including emerging conditions and trends, and the awareness of diversity of ideas and practices found in those regions. It examines contemporary political, economic, and social issues of developed and developing regions of the world. The purpose of the course is to introduce students to several important issues and events that affect the world today. Students should possess a general knowledge of their world. The course will contribute to students’ understanding of themselves and society.
