The design of our environment shapes our perceptions and how we relate to the world.

The architecture curriculum at Lee College focuses on design as the fundamental element of the architectural discipline. The program is offered for students who are interested in architecture or for those who are studying for a four or five year Bachelor of Architecture degree. The course work has been selected as being the most representative of those courses required during the first two years of study leading to a professional degree in Architecture.

An important part of an architectural education is experiencing the built environment. Our location provides a unique opportunity to explore the professional, cultural, and industry resources of Houston. The Architecture Department takes advantage of being next to Houston, a city with architectural works by Mies van der Rohe, Gunnar Birkerts, Phillip Johnson, Renzo Piano, Rafael Moneo, and others.

By experiencing the architecture of a large city, students learn to refine their aesthetic judgment and use that knowledge in their own design work.

If you want to begin your architectural education or simply find out what architecture is all about, Lee College provides a challenging program at a competitive price that is transferable to most Architecture programs. Lee College seeks to create an atmosphere in which architecture students may develop their career potential, leadership qualities, intellects, talents and skills.
