Lee College Weekend College degree program is a designated pathway toward completing an associate’s degree in several rapidly growing fields. Whether you plan to enter college for the first time or return after several years, Weekend College will help you to earn either an Associate’s degree in Applied Science or Associate of Arts.

Who is the Weekend College student?

Individuals who:

  • Work and need to continue working while they go to school
  • Want to advance on their current job
  • Want to make a career change
  • Life happened, and now they are at a point where they can return to school after being out for a long time

What are some of the unique features of Weekend College?

  • Students attend classes as a cohort-student groups that stay together from enrollment to graduation or transfer
  • Students participate and collaborate as a small, professional group
  • Students benefit from learning communities in which they develop relationships with fellow students and faculty members
  • Classes are small
  • Supportive faculty dedicated to the program
  • Classes are offered in multiple locations to better serve student needs
  • Personalized advising, financial assistance, and 24/7 tutoring
  • Rapid and/or integrated 3- and 8-week bridge courses to help students quickly move from developmental to credit courses
  • Dedicated and guaranteed Weekend College classes

What Degrees are Offered Through Weekend College?

Associates of Applied Science (A.A.S.)

  • Business Administration and Management
  • Computer and Network Maintenance Technology
  • Industrial Welding Technology

Associates of Arts (A.A.)

  • General Studies Transfer Allied Health
  • General Studies Transfer in Social Science

How often will I attend Class?

  • Every Friday evening from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
  • Every Saturday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (except Welding 7 a.m.-5 p.m.)

How long does it take to complete the degree?

  • 21 months
  • Attending year round (including summers)

How can they complete the degree in 21 months?

  • It is an accelerated/fast-paced degree
  • The courses are arranged each semester, so students know what they are taking each semester. This takes away the worry of trying to figure out which class they need or when the class will be offered
  • The classes offered through the program are set aside for WC students
  • There are hybrid and online courses
  • Every 8-10 weeks, student take a different class
  • Although students only attend classes on Friday evening and Saturday, they carry full-time credits and qualify for financial aid
