Industrial Craft Training Course Offerings:

    • ARC Flash (NFPA 70e)
      • ARC Flash Electrical Safety course to keep workers safe while working on or around electrically energized equipment. The course is structured to help companies fulfill requirements set forth in NFPA 70E® “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace,” which requires this type of instructor-led training for anyone working with electrically energized equipment. Successfully completed modules will be submitted for upload into the NCCER National Database, through our partnership with CMEF. Cost: $284
    • ASW Combo Welder, SMAW, GMAW, SCAW
      • Condensed, fast-track training where students gain experience and develop technical skills to become a welder in numerous industries. Skills attained can be used to become a proficient welder in many industries, which may include commercial building developments, Petrochemical field maintenance, Petrochemical construction, etc. Content covers many areas including Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) other types of welding to include FCAW. Students and attendees will have an opportunity to learn/improve: Safety practices and performance, Welding Fundamentals and Metallurgy Principles, Application of proper welding techniques to different metals, and Welding practices.       • Geared towards engineers, designers, main instrumentation controls contractors, and startup and commissioning specialists wanting to increase their knowledge base of design, planning, and implementation of FOUNDATION™ systems. Cost: $6,946
    • NCCER Core and NCCER Electrical Level 1
      • This NCCER curriculum based certificate which includes CORE and Electrical Level 1 is designed to prepare students for employment as an entry-level electrical helper with area contractors. CORE concepts introduce students to construction principles including: Basic Safety, Construction Math, Basic Communication Skills, Material Handling and Basic Employability Skills. Electrical Level 1 concepts include Electrical Safety, Introduction to the National Electrical Code, Electrical Theory, Hand Bending, Raceways and Fittings, Electrical Test Equipment. Successfully completed modules will be submitted for upload into the NCCER National Database, through our partnership with CMEF. Cost: $2,480

      • Introduce student to construction principles including orientation to the electrical trade, electrical safety, introduction to electrical circuits, electrical theory, introduction to the national electrical code, device boxes, hand bending, raceways and fittings, conductors and cables, basic electrical construction drawings, residential electrical services, and electrical test equipment. Course is designed to prepare students for employment as electrical helper with area contractors. NCCER module credit will be uploaded onto the student’s transcript within the Automated National Registry. Cost: $1,015

      • Course is designed to prepare students for employment as an entry-level electrical helper with area contractors. Concepts taught includes: Alternating Current, Motors: Theory and Application, Electric Lighting, Conduit Bending, Pull and Junction Boxes, Conductor Installations, Cable Tray, Conductor Terminations and Splices, Grounding and Bonding, Circuit Breakers and Fuses, Control Systems and Fundamental Concepts.       • Course is designed to prepare students for employment as an entry-level electrical helper with area contractors. Concepts taught includes: Load Calculations – Branch and Feeder Circuits, Conductor Selection and Calculations, Practical Applications of Lighting, Hazardous Locations, Overcurrent Protection, Distribution Equipment, Transformers, Commercial Electrical Services, Motor Calculations, Voice, Data, and Video, and Motor Controls.       • This course is designed as a comprehensive, competency-based program that gives both veteran and new field employees a step-by-step approach to honing their natural abilities, developing essential skills, and generally improving their performance as leaders. This course introduces Leadership, Motivational Theories, Leadership Styles, and Evaluation of Leadership Performance.       • This course is designed to prepare students for employment as an entry-level HVAC helper with area contractors. Content includes: Introduction to HVAC, Trade Mathematics, Basic Electricity, Introduction to Heating, Introduction to Cooling, Introduction to Air Distribution Systems, Basic Copper and Plastic Piping Practices, Soldering and Brazing, and Basic Carbon Steel Piping Practices.       • This NCCER curriculum based certificate, which includes CORE, Instrumentation Level 2 and 3 is designed to prepare students for employment as an instrument helper with area contractors. CORE concepts introduce students to construction principles including: Basic Safety, Construction Math, Basic Communication Skills, Material Handling and Basic Employability Skills. Instrumentation Level 2, 3 concepts introduce students to Instrumentation Safety Practices, Process Control Theory, Instrument Drawings and Documents, Installing Mounted Instruments, Test Equipment, Instrumentation Electrical Circuitry, Grounding and Shielding of Instrumentation Wiring and Terminating Conductors.       • Introduce student to construction principles including piping systems, drawings and detail sheets, identifying and installing valves, pipefitting trade math, threaded pipe fabrication, socket weld pipe fabrication, butt weld pipe fabrication excavation, excavations, and underground pipe installation. CORE concepts introduce students to construction principles in construction trade including: Basic Safety, Introduction to Construction Math, Basic Communication Skills, Material Handling and Basic Employability Skills. Pipefitting level one concepts includes: Orientation to the Trade, Pipefitting Hand Tools, Pipefitting Power Tools, Oxy-Fuel Cutting, and Motorized Equipment.     • NCCER Pipefitting Level 3
      • Identification, description, and application of piping standards and specifications. Inleads identification and use of various metallic and non-metallic piping materials, identification and installation of valves, and materials take offs. Course is designed to prepare students for employment as an entry level pipefitting helper with area contractors. NCCER module credit will be uploaded onto the student’s transcript within the Automated National Registry. Cost: $1,061
    • NCCER Project Management
      • A comprehensive, competency-based program that gives both veteran and new field managers a step-by-step approach to honing their natural abilities, developing essential skills, and generally improving their performance as leaders. Course covers topics such as introduction to project management, safety concepts, interpersonal skills, issues and resolutions, construction documents, construction planning, estimating and cost control, scheduling, resource control, quality control and assurance, and continuous improvement. Successfully completed modules will be submitted for upload into the NCCER National Database. Prerequisite: 3 to 5 years of Journeyman craft experience; completed courses in NCCER Project Supervision and NCCER Crew Leadership. Cost: $739
    • OSHA 10 Hour Construction Standard
      • The Construction Safety Training Program is intended to provide an entry-level construction workers general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. OSHA recommends Safety Certification Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Cost: $89
    • Process Technology Refresher
      • This course is designed for individuals who have already received a Certificate or Associates Degree in Process Technology from a community college. This course will refresh the skills required to be a process operations technician through simulation and hands-on activities, including topics such as: basic math, basic chemistry and physics, electrical delivery systems, process control, separation systems, industrial plant processes, crude distillation, and process troubleshooting.     • SENSE Level 1 SMAW Welder Program
      • Condensed, fast-track training where students gain experience and develop technical skills to become a welder in numerous industries. Skills attained can be used to become a proficient welder in many industries. This AWS SENSE Level 1 welding certificate program includes Safety, Principles of Welding I-IV, Thermal Cutting, Gases Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
