Interim Grading Policy FAQ

Because of the unique and unprecedented challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, Lee College is implementing an interim grading policy for the Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 term.

Interim Grading Policy - Explained in the text of the page

The Interim Grade Policy applies to courses offered during the Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 terms that end between May and August. Because of the State Board of Nursing requirements, Nursing Program students enrolled in RNSG and VNSG courses are not eligible for the Interim Grading Policy.

For courses that have a Letter Grade (A-F) grading scheme:

All courses will be graded according to their current grading scheme. Once grades are posted, students have the option to request a Satisfactory/No Credit Reported (S/NCR) grading scheme on a course-by-course basis.

Under the Satisfactory/No Credit Reported (S/NCR) grading scheme, grades of D and higher are considered Satisfactory (S) and are awarded course credit. No course credit will be awarded for a grade of No Credit Reported (NCR).

Satisfactory (S) and No Credit Reported (NCR) grades are not factored into term or cumulative GPA.

Students are strongly encouraged to contact their academic advisor to discuss questions regarding the impact of their grade option choice on their academic career and transfer. The Financial Aid office should be consulted to discuss the impact of their grade option choice on financial aid matters. Veteran students should contact the Veterans Coordinator.

For Spring 2020 courses, the deadline for students to request their grading option was June 30, 2020. The deadline for Summer 2020 courses is set for Aug. 21, 2020.

Details regarding the process through which students request their grading options can be found here.
