NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON TAX ABATEMENT AGREEMENT WITH NRG CEDAR BAYOU 5 LLC
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lee College Board of Regents will conduct a Public Hearing at a regular meeting of the Board to discuss and consider a Tax Abatement Agreement with NRG CEDAR BAYOU 5 LLC (the owner of the real property and the applicant for the Tax Abatement Agreement) for an electric power generation facility to be located in the NRG CEDAR BAYOU 5 LLC PROJECT MOONSHOT 2022 REINVESTMENT ZONE (the “Zone”), as designated by Order of the Commissioners Court of Chambers County on July 26, 2022. The estimated total investment value of the proposed new facility is up to $564,000,000.
The Zone consists of the following tracts or parcels:
Being the description of 324.474 acres (called “324.435 acres”) tract of land, more or less, out of the Christian Smith League, Abstract 22, Chambers County, Texas, being out of 413.054 acres (called “413.081 acres”) tract of land described in an instrument to Texas Genco and recorded under Chambers County Clerk’s File Number 8952B, in the Deed Records of Chambers County, Texas.
The Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at John B. Tucker Lecture Hall, 200 Lee Drive, Baytown, TX 77520-4728. All interested persons may appear at the November 15, 2022, Public Hearing and present their views for consideration by the Board.
