Lee College has named Amy Mundy as its new vice president of External Affairs and executive director of the Lee College Foundation. She will begin her new role Nov. 16.
Mundy joins Lee College from Victoria College, where she served as executive director of Advancement and the Victoria College Foundation. In that role, she led fundraising, grant administration, scholarships, community relations and legislative engagement in support of student success and regional workforce development.
At Lee College, Mundy will provide strategic leadership for institutional advancement, philanthropic development, government relations, marketing and public affairs, and grant development. She will oversee the Lee College Foundation and work with college leadership, Foundation board members, elected officials and community partners to strengthen relationships, secure resources and advance the college’s strategic priorities.
“Amy Mundy brings decades of experience advancing the mission of community colleges across the state of Texas,” said Lee College President Jacob Atkin. “Her leadership will be important as we continue strengthening our community partnerships, engaging our supporters and creating more opportunities for students to succeed.”
Mundy said she looks forward to building on Lee College’s strong community relationships and expanding opportunities for students.
“I am honored to join Lee College and become part of an institution that makes such a meaningful difference for students and the community,” said Mundy. “Community colleges have played an important role in my own educational journey, so I understand firsthand the impact they have on people’s lives. I look forward to working with college leadership, the Lee College Foundation Board, and our community and industry partners, to strengthen relationships, expand support for students, and advance the college’s mission.”
