Theatre is a collaborative art form that brings stories to life through performance, design, and production. At Lee College, students develop the artistic, technical, and creative skills needed to succeed both on stage and behind the scenes while gaining hands-on experience through classroom instruction and live productions.
Whether your interests lie in acting, directing, stagecraft, lighting, sound, scenery, or costume design, the Theatre program encourages students to explore every aspect of theatrical production. Working alongside faculty and fellow artists, students learn the value of collaboration, communication, discipline, and creative problem-solving while participating in productions that serve both the campus and the community.
From the first rehearsal to the final curtain call, students gain practical experience that prepares them for successful transfer to four-year theatre programs while building the confidence and professionalism expected throughout the performing arts industry.
The Lee College Theatre Department offers two different concentrations: Acting or Technical Theatre. Students may continue to complete their advanced BA or BFA degree requirements. Acting
