Selah provides direction and oversight for the College Foundation, the Performing Arts Center, and the Grants Management Department in this role. Previously, Selah served the college as the Director of Grants Management, overseeing the development and management of all college-related grants from federal, state, local, and private entities, allowing for improvements to facilities, expansion of student success programs, and innovative academic opportunities.

Selah is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive and a proven fund development professional, having raised over 40 million dollars for nonprofits in the Galveston/Houston/Baytown area during her career. As Selah moves forward, she is focused on continuing to find ways to help the college and the foundation grow and enhance the student experience at each college location by concentrating on ways to deepen the connections between business owners, the nonprofit sector, city leadership, and the families that live within our service area.

Selah is an experienced educator with her certifications as a K-12 teacher and principal in Texas and prides herself on being an energetic community activist committed to equality and equity. She is dedicated to public education and graduated from two state schools: The University of Houston at Clear Lake (BA) and Lamar University (M.Ed.). She is thrilled to complete her Doctoral Education program at Baylor University, focusing on Learning and Organizational Change in 2024.

Selah is active in her daughters' schools and volunteers on several local boards, including the Galveston Art Center and the Family Children and Youth Board. "Service Above Self" is the motto of Rotarians. Selah is proud to have served as a past president of the Rotary Club of Galveston Island and looks forward to joining the Baytown Rotary Club to deepen her connections within the Baytown community.

On a personal level, Selah is immersed in writing her first children's book and otherwise enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her husband, two daughters, and their two rescue dogs, Honey and Hazel. You can often find her and her family recreating at the beach, on the soccer fields, riding bikes, surfing, fishing, or camping.
