Dr. Douglas Walcerz

Dr. Douglas Walcerz is highly esteemed for his skill with data analytics, strategic planning, understanding of how learning works, and ability to steer organizations forward on the path to success. He is driven by his belief in the power of education to make the world a better place and that higher education is for everyone.

Dr. Walcerz serves as Provost and Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Lee College, where he leads the effort to promote an integrated student experience and coordinate data-driven decisions for the College with the ultimate goal of success for all students.

Dr. Walcerz previously served as Lee College's Vice President of Planning, Institutional Effectiveness and Research, and Chief Learning Officer.

Prior to that, he was the dean of Planning, Institutional Effectiveness and Research at Brazosport College in Lake Jackson, Texas, and vice president of Planning, Research, and Assessment at Essex County College in Newark, N.J.

Dr. Walcerz was an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass., and an associate professor of mechanical engineering at York College in York, Pa., prior to his career in college administration.

Dr. Walcerz has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
